i have alltel it's fantastic. i pay 75 cents a day and they let you choose what services you want from that. you get to pick two. they have unlimited weekends and nights (after 9), unlimited mobile to mobile, unlimited texts, or unlimited to your favorite number. you can also just pay minute to minute and i think that's 15 cents a minute. it's very reliable the only thing that i have not been pleased with is roaming. i couldn't check my voicemail when i was out of town, but that was it. they also charge to activate it and that kinda sucks, cause it's like twenty or thirty dollars. i had a few problems setting up the voicemail when i first got my phone and called them, they have very good customer service, didn't keep me on hold long or anything like that and were very polite. oh and the phones they have are great, you can even get rzr or any of those popular phones.

now my sister has virgin mobile because she doesn't use her phone as much. only once in a while for emergencies type of thing. they have different plans, you can pay month to month, or day to day, or minute to minute. they're reliable as well.

I went to tracfone about 5 years ago and since then my hubby, my parents, my neighbor, my grandmother and 2 of my cousins have all joined in and NEVER regretted it. In fact they all say they'll never use anything else.
Tracfone offers pretty much all the same features/functions as regular cell phones.
-Voice Mail
-Caller ID
-Great coverage areas
-Txt Messaging
-Various ring tones
-Phonebook
-Call log
On the basic phones

On more advanced models:
-games
-color screen
-downloadable ringtones
-calendar/planner/organizer
among other options!

Tracfone also offers great promo offers for free bonus minutes. Local area calls use 1 unit (or minute) and when in roaming it uses 2. Txt messgs only use 1/2 unit to both send or read.

The best thing to do is check out their web page a www.tracfone.com. Read up on the various styles of phones, check the coverage map feature w/your zip code to see where your local calling area would be. You can also get more info on prepaid rates and other features and specials....I just activated a new fone for my friend (forgot to mention her!) and they have a special right now where on a newly activated phone, any future card redemptions made on your phone will also result in 30 extra bonus minutes added to it....FOREVER! SO for every 60 min card, you'll actually get 90! GREAT DEAL!

Anyway...check out their site and see what you think, if you have any furthur questions...feel free to email me and I"ll be glad to help you to the best of my ability!
