The fact that you bought clothes that won't outdate was a good idea - I tend to do that with my clothes and shoes, etc. With this pregnancy, I tried to buy most of my maternity clothes on sale and I also found that Target had some great maternity clothes for work and casual and they weren't too expensive.
I also sometimes found myself washing and wearing the same outfit twice or more times a week if it really looked good. For what you bought, $200 seems like a good deal! Just remember, you can always re-sell or donate the clothes when you're done with them. :)

Same here! I work in an office and couldn't just wear sweat pants (which I did for last pregnancy). I have already spent around $350 on maternity clothes and I am sure I will pick up some more. It's the holidays, work, parties and things like that....just wasn't happy with not getting nice clothes. I think it's prefectly fine to spend that much on the clothes! Especially if you are reuseing them (I'm not last baby!) and if you have the money! If you're broke and can't afford the babies first pack of diapers....then no don't buy them. But if you are comfortable with the finance situation, then GO FOR IT!!! Good Luck!! Motherhood stores have GREAT clothes that are reasonable prices.

Gosh...my husband would have loved it if I had only spent $200 on maternity clothes! Fortunately...he didn't mind that I have actually spent probably more than $1,000.
It is important to feel and look good when you are pregnant! I did do the smart thing though and bought many items that I will still be able to use post partum...and the rest can be donated to a good cause because this will be my last pregnancy. (There will be 10 years between my youngest child and this new baby)
As long as you have the money to spend...do it! This is a very special time in your life and it's exciting!
I did make one mistake though...I bought some things when I was very early in my pregnancy...but my butt and legs got a bit gigger in the end of my second trimester and they didn't fit anymore....but they will post partum. These days maternity clothes are so cute and stylish that they sre still good after baby is born!
Good luck and CONGRATULATIONS!!

No way that is alot of stuff for $200. I am 16 weeks and already bought 2 pairs of jeans both were $68 and dress pants that cost the same. I have not bought maternity tops yet, because there are so many empire waist styles out in regular clothes, that I am wearing those.
If you have the money spend it, you can always resale on Ebay after the baby comes. Plus as far as jeans if they are not the full panel waist you will be able to wear them for a little while after the baby comes.

I don't want to disclose how much I actually spent because honestly I;m not sure but I also work in an office so I wasn't able to get away with sweats. I had to buy appropriate clothes but I did the same thing and shopped on consignment stores cuz maternity clothes are exactly worn out. Also pregnancy seemed to be an epidemic with my friends at the time so I was the one that everyone borrowed stuff from.

No way, I don't think that is too much at all. To be honest, you will probably end up spending more money than that. When I was pregnant I said I was going to buy a few things that I could just mix and match together, and I ended up with TONS of clothes, and probably spent way too much money on them! If you are working in an office and will be using them again it isn't a waste of money at all. Once you are done with them you can give them to consignment and make a little money off of them.

$200 is not too much, I think. It sounds like you have really thought about this. I have known women to spend more too.
I spent about the same or maybe a little more. Towards the end of mine.. I wore a lot of heavy sweatshirts and slippers.... I am lucky I work in a hospital so I wore scrubs all day.. and all night when I got home.
congrats on the baby

Stop feeling guilty! Of course, it depends on how much money you have overall, but 200 is not that much for a maternity wardrobe. Those clothes are so expensive. But you want to look good and feel confident while you're pregnant, so I wouldn't worry about it

No, that's not too much. In fact, you will be spending much more by the time you give birth. I spend at least that every time I have to go get new stuff due to outgrowing what I bought the last shopping trip! Old Navy has great bargains if you are on a budget like me...no style spared at all though!!!!

If I were you, I would go to a reputable place that sells used clothing. That way $200 will go a long way and if you don't have any more children you won't feel so bad giving these clothes away or trying to sell them through the place you bought them from!
