The one I like to use is www.petfinder.org
I am in Ohio also. Petfinder will let you search by state, so just search for pets that are in Ohio, and it will give you a list of the ones available, and often has pictures of them. Just pick the type of animal (like dog, cat) from the list, and put OH in the box for state and click on go.

Craigslist isn't a internet site for adopting a puppy. <,< it incredibly is the place irresponsible vendors pass to attempt and sell their canines because of the fact they had unintended litters. the sole ones i comprehend of incorporate petfinder and adoptapet. i'm sorry this answer wasn't greater efficient, yet I felt like that the right advice approximately craigslist must be handed alongside.
