You are correct. Remember that any time the government gets involved in anything, it costs at least 5 times as much, and never works!

Your Grandpa was right. What some question answerers don't understand is that there are some places out there that accept a few section 8 people and there nice places. But the complexes that are 100% section 8 housing are awful.
I also feel the private sector needs to get more involved in helping people with afordable housing and they slowly are.
As for welfare (which I feel this question and what her Grandpa was refering to.) is that someone is footing the bill. So do you want more government programs and pay 60% in taxes? That's what you will have to do. Just ask anyone from Sweden, England and Canada about how much they pay in taxes.

Yea, some people need to think before they wish for something. I don't want to live in public housing either or any of these section 8 housing complexes. yuck! I guess all the illegals who get free medical care think there is a vault somewhere and money just magically appears so they can go to the doctors office every month. Its disgusting. I'm tired of paying for other people to have kids, I didn't get to have my son for free.

Have you heard the one about the student walking with the finance professer?
The student reaches for a $100 bill lying on the ground. The professer said, "don't bother, if it was a real $100 bill, it wouldn't be there."
I agree, no free lunch. However, I have had many friends buy me lunch when I didn't have any money. It gave me the nutrition I needed to make money to buy my own lunch. Now I buy for my friends from time to time.
Did that make sense?

I AGREE WITH ALL UR QUESTIONS!
i go to high school, and pretty much everybody but a few rich kids get free lunch, and i know they are all not poor, i live in a middle class school district
more tax dollars down the drain
The income limit for free lunch is 16k plus 3k per each additional child, i know not everyone is that poor
PS I pay for my own lunch and recieve no gov. aid

Is this jade girl alright or are we going to have to keep seeing the same silly line of questions. I think I would rather read Shiraz's questions.
