Six months ago I tore a disc and hernaited another one in my lower spine. I've been doped up on pain killers and muscle relaxants since then and just recently received an epidural injection. My workmans comp only approved for two weeks of physical therapy, so now I have to work out own my own and hope that I don't aggravate my injury. My question is how long before I can start going to the gym or the dojo and start training like I used to before this stupid injury? Are there any fighters or weight lifters out there thats gone thru this and can give me some tips?

For the pain, apply ice packs instead of heat. Fill an empty drink bottle with water and freeze and put where u hurt.
Situps is the only key to a strong back, it gets rid of backache quick.
Do situps every other day, or crunches
