Well during Ancient Rome there were consuls, who were like present day presidents, but there were two of them instead of one. There was senate as we still have today and there were Emperors, who ruled the Empire.

there was a Mayor of Rome named Etu Billy bobb and a street commissioner named Wrongway Remus. Beyond that I am not too sure.
