Tell your mama, "I'm not a kid anymore, and _____(So and SO's name) is a really nice person. Try inviting this person over 2 your house 4 dinner, so your mama can get 2 know him/her better.

Be nice sit her down and talk to her.Let her know that you love her very much she's your mom and that can't change but she has lived her life and you want to live yours without she butting in and that this is the person you love and want to be with and it would be nice or you would appreciate if she could just accept it, and that you know that he loves you too and you would like for her to give him a chance and find out the type of person that he is and the reason that you love him.
(hope she'll understand and accept)
good luck to love.

Consider the reasons behind ur mama's reasoning. Think logically. If her reasons are valid and logical, then face it and decide.
But if u find that she has no obvious logical reason behind her problem with ur partner, then depending on how old u r, let her know that u have made ur decission and u love this person no matter how she feels.

I had a boyfriend that my mom didn't like and I left him alone. There's a reason that your mom doesn't like him. Moms know these things. Listen to your mom, she just wants the best for you. She has more experience with this sort of thing. If you still like this guy in a year then talk to your mom about your feelings toward this guy.

Unless she's a truly psycho controlling *****, then I think you should listen to her. She's probably right.
Parent's have a 6th sense about this kind of thing, because they've seen it before.
Remember, just because it's not somebody's business to tell you what to do, doesn't mean that what they are saying isn't true.
