I had one fitted today and my health care provider assured me that I just have to wait seven days then I would be protected.. I'm wondering if I should give it a bit longer ovulation was due tommorrow.

If it makes you feel better use added precautions for a couple of weeks but as the health worker said, 7 days is fine...;

If your doctor said it would be fine after seven days then it will be fine after seven days, but if it makes you feel safer, there's no harm in waiting longer.
