A representative of Nielsen TV Ratings just gave me a visit. She said that my home was selected for tv ratings and I will revieve gifts to be a participant. I was informed that they will hook my tv up to a component that will monitor what I watch. I can get out of the participation with no obligation when ever I wanted to, but I just want to know if any has ever heard of any problems with this research company?

If you're serious, and the representative was serious, then yes the Nielsen TV Ratings are a totally legit company. In fact, you will now have a say into what gets put on and taken off the air.

Have you ever been mad that one of your favorite shows was cancelled? Well, simply by being hooked up to Nielsen, they'll be monitoring your TV and you'll be considered representative of a segment of the public. What your TV is tuned into will help them determine how many people are watching something. That in turn determines ratings, which determines ad costs, programming decisions, etc. I would LOVE to be a Nielsen home.

I think there is no such thing as a legit work at home company. They're ALL scams in my opinion. I don't even try to find a legit one anymore. But I am a stay at home mom and I do work from home. We used to live in an apartment with low rent so I babysat for a neighbor who was a single mom and I let her decide how much she could afford to pay me and that worked out really well. She paid me $400 per month for her 13 month old then she had another baby a few months later and paid me $800 per month for 2 kids. Now we own a home and I'm now licensed to have 8 children at a time in my home and I charge $700 for each child. To me taking care of other people's children is the best job there is for people who want to stay home with their own kids. You're home anyway with your kids, so why not take care of one or two more...? You don't have to invest much money, toys you already have, food you get back when you do taxes. Childcare, babysitting is the best thing I'd recommend to every stay at home mom who wants some income.
