the video card is the little thing that makes the image go out from the box where you find your cd player,to the monitor of your computer,
the more powerful it is,the better games and stuff it will run.

A video card displays your video on the monitor. A dedicated video card (one that you purchase separately) takes some load off of your computers processor, as it doesn't have to process video from the motherboard. There are 3 different types of video cards out now. Pci-express x16, AGP 8x,4x,2x, and Standard PCI. Most newer computers have the PCI-E x16 slot available for the video card.

The Video Card is used to display on the monitor. You plug your monitor into the video card and it sends data to the monitor producing the image you see.

the video card is the card that sets all displays and such as the refresh rate and the amount of pixals that u wish to use to such as 1024x780 is alot of pixals and 800x600 is the default setting for most screens just remember that to high a setting and u lose all vodeo and to low and u see still nothing so find a happy medium
