Is it acceptable to give someone a 3 way gift when they are buying you an individual gift?

To reduce the costs of Christmas spending, I’m considering joining my sister and her fiancée in gift buying for some relatives. When these relatives get the gift, it will be from all three of us. My question – is this proper gift giving procedure when the receiving parties will be buying us an individual gift?
