Clustering to actually improve processing power only works when you are running tasks with multi layered sub-levels ....

please refer to:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_cluster

These are usually very data intensive servers. The actual hardware & operating systems needed to assemble such a cluster from a bunch of home PCs would cost considerably more that all the PCs themselves.

The beneficial price point (cost advantage) is only reached at a near 5 digit dollar figure ... + you need a server OS on each unit that allows clustering. Such operation systems often require serious hardware upgrades merely to be installed.

I respectfully advise you to just spend a lot lot lot less cash on a dual or quad core PC.

Don't do it you loopy idiot you could create a wonderful mega laptop that turns into sensible and takes over the sector or create an interdimsional portal and unharness the hordes of hell upon us. But significantly no you cant. You can take the components out of the two.eight and positioned them within the three.two so it has extra memoory tough force area and so forth or rather promote them each and purchase a pentium DUAL CORE lol you're going to like that believe me.

Parallel computers have very fast, specialized communication paths between CPUs to coordinate their processing. To use multiple computer systems, you might want to research the term "clustering".
