well after reading all the other answers....I,m gonna go out on a limb and say i would have to do the right thing and get as much information about the individual that ran off with the kettle and inform the authorities about it as quickly as possible. if it's possible to apprehend the individual without getting hurt then yes i would do that. and even though beating the crap out of him might sound right to you. i would have to let the system take care of the situation.
