i have to recycle here in new york, but i never do.. hate it and to me it is just a waist of time.

When I lived in Michigan I recycled cans all the time but since I started living in Texas 10 years ago I've done no recycling whatsoever. In Michigan, they are more apt to encourage recycling whereas in Texas there is no such encouragement.

I live right next door to a recycling center. It really makes no sense not to when the recycling plant is just as close as the dumpster. We recycle about everything that can be recycled. I'm making the world a better place, one spaghettio can at a time. You're welcome... LOL. ♥

At my house we recycle everything. If you throw it in the trash and it doesn't belong there, I'll make you dig it out. I even take home my empty cartons and stuff from work to recycle, I know I am so neurotic.

Our city has a full recycle program...cans, plastics, cardboard/papers and organics...very little of what we throw away is tossed into a garbage bag. As a family of 7 we usually strive for only 1 bag of actual garbage, those things that can't be recylced...we usually meet that goal.

Yes carbonated beverage containers have 10 cent deposit apiece and are redeemable, also recycle non-deposit cans and plastic, glass, and paper
