I recommend you to use True Image in order to backup your Access files almost to every location. Using True Image you can backup not only your important data but also your entire operating system including its applications, applications' settings, Outlook files and media library.

If the database backend is Access: Have everyone get out of the database, then copy the .MDB file to another location.

If Access is only the front end, and the backend is something else, the answer will be different.

If u want to copy it via a program, at first make a copy of the original database manually, then include some lines in your application which will make changes in the the backed up database if it trys to change the mother database.

You find the database (a file ending with a .mdb extension) and copy it as you would any another file (right click on file and choose copy, for example). Then navigate to the folder where you want the backup to be and paste the copy there.
