We have identical twin girls, but their weights are significantly different. At Birth they were 6ozs apart, now at 2 months the gap has widened, when will the smaller baby catch up?

Nope. My sisters are identical twins and one is two inches taller than the other. While their genetic make up is identical, what you are probably seeing is the influence of environmental factors influencing their development. One might have gotten more nourishment in the womb and one might be a better eater now etc. Later on, you might even start to see slight differences in their facial structures and things like that. Once again, influenced by the environment like expsoure to sun, differences in vitamin intake, etc.

There's a good chance that they will never be the same size and weight but over time, the difference should level out.

They may never be the same in growth! If it does happen usually one has a growth spurt and catches us if not beats the other twin.

Identical twins hardly are ever the exact (or close to the exact) same size. One is usually bigger, one is usually thinner, one is usually more muscular, etc. They might look exactly alike, but that doesn't mean they'll be equal in everything.

Probably never.
Twins do not have to be the same size and weight. they are two totally different babies.

As long as they lead similar lifestyles, I imagine it could be around the time the reach puberty.
