The following facts have been reported:

- In 1967, there were 5 mosques, in 2004 there were 84

- In 1950, Christians were 75% of the population, they are now 12%

- The average age of the Moslem population is 16, that of the Christians - 36

- In the 2005 municipal elections, Hamas won 12 out of 15 seats

- According to Palestinian Authority law, the mayor of Bethlehem must be Christian. His faction has one member only on the council.

The Hamas won all their seats?" I guess they went to the highest bidder . O_o

Hamas ought to no longer connect the Palestinian Authority because Hamas is the different answer if the Palestinian authority failled to a chive a honest peacefull answer with the Israelis.

If "Palastine" was initially owned and populated primarily by Christians, then the Muslim (Hammas) claims to Palastine are patently false. If Israel owes a moral debt to Palastinians, it is to the original inhabitants rather than immigrants who arrived after the formation of Israel.
