Die !?! Never Christmas never die even when the toys turns into clothes.

I'm just glad that I had them... of course that was AFTER my disappointment..lol..

People wants to give you toys but figures that you are thinking less toys because you are growing up and getting interested in other things that are more than a dolly or a battleships game. Unless you have given out your Christmas wish list then how do they know what to look for?

So the safest bet is clothes and beside you will grow out of them in a year anyway. And you can always give the used clothes to Goodwill or Halfway houses for runaways so they will have something good.

Then you gets the age where nobody gives you gifts anymore because you have everything that you ever need in a home so they don't bother or just give you a Christmas card. Oh. Wow! that really putting love in that..(and no I'm not bitter just sad that way.)

They don't really comes up with a thoughtful gifts like donate something in my name to my favorite charity or a small coupon for something
I wasn't able to gets because I ran out of money.. etc. etc. etc.

Sorry if this turning out to but lecture. :-(
Just try to turn a fruitcake into a wonder sugar cookie o.k. Christmas isn't really about the presents you gets or didn't gets. It's about family and friends and good memories.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday. :-)

I'll bet that itchy white turtleneck lasted longer
than any toy you had at that age. I'll also bet
the person who bought or made it put more
thought into it than any toy you had at that age.
I'll also bet you can't remember any toy you got
for that Christmas. Think of the lessons we learn,
no matter how distant they may seem at the time.

Yes I know the turtleneck probably isn't real but
the value it represents is priceless

Joyfully yours,

Santa Claus

It hasn't died for me. I get just as excited about things as I did when I was a kid. I still get toys and clothes on Christmas, it doesn't really matter to me. You in a turtle neck? Hmmmm........

...Christmas can never die, you have to just keep the spirit. In 1966---I was 11 and still believed that Santa brought me a gift every Christmas Eve at Grandmaws house.Til my cousin said---My God you really don't know that he's uncle James?I looked in his eyes and seen my uncle and BAM, I knew that Christmas is a feeling.I am determined to keep that Feeling alive for the rest of my life, and I have given that gift to my Family to pass on...You have a MERRY CHRISTMAS......

It never has died for me. My parents were very good at creative gift ideas that were age appropriate. Then when I became a mommy, the fun started all over again!!!

Thirteen years old. But I was getting to old for toys by that age, and that is when I received my first grownup watch.
