Stress effects more than just your health, its been a major driving force of evolution (if you accept that view of long term species development). Stress, in the broadest sense, is input from both your internal and extrenal environment that has both physical and psychological impacts.

Stress has been shown to weaken the immune system, to drive the body to excessive production of agressive/hyperacute hormones, and other fluctuations of the metabolism and internal chemistry. Like many things, the drives of stress can be helpfull in moderation, and harmfull in both excess and shortage.

Stress has a broad definition. Stress is good when you are going to cope with a dangerous situations. By stress most people mean bad stress. Repeated stress lessen the function and poor function produces less quality of life. In this sense stress has a variety of adverse consequences. Biologically speaking, immune system under chronic stress does not function as good as that under normal conditions. As a whole, chronic severe stress is to be treated independent of other accopmanied conditions.

Have you ever noticed the physical aspects of stress...such as increased heart rate..tension headaches...even stuff that you wouldn't know is caused by stress..muscle and back pain. Stress can cause all kinds of health problems...like weakening your immune system..causing headaches...mental anquish...it's a proven fact..let me try and find you some links..i should have done that in the first place, sorry..

yes stress affect the body in many ways you get headaches, chest pains, upset stomach, hair falls out. their are many more

Definitely does. When you get stressed, your body burns up large amounts of energy in muscle tension, and you get higher blood pressure and heart rate. So you can suffer from fatigue, malnutrition, and nervousness.

You becha! My sister has bouts of shingles when she is stressed out...like NOW!!! When I get stressed, I get sick...the flu syptoms. It can cause heart attacks, strokes, all kinds of horrible things.

Yes. Headaches, sleepless nights, unhealthy weight loss, eye twitches, rashes (I've seen it happen), vomiting...ulcers...

It affects everything. Sleep habits can change, stomach distress, shaking, headache, you name it, it can happen, I've been there.
