Get a wireless router and plug the dsl modem into it. Make sure the router uses the same wireless system the laptop does (assuming the laptop already is wireless ready, if not then you need to buy a wireless card for it.)

Also pay attention to the setup especially security... A lot of people just plug in the access points and work from their.. This is great since the neighbours get free internet access.... When I get lazy I sometime borrow the dentists internet access down the street...
Avoid Linksys and go with a router type.... They tend to be already cheaper and the have some firewall compatabilities...

First you will need a wireless router, and a wirelss card for your laptop computer (if is not already got one built in) also a home computer that the wireless router is coupled to. once you have these items just follow the instruction that comes with the router. and the instructions that comes with the laptop wireless card, My system is d-link, their back servce is excelent I can't fault them

It is pretty simple. I have DSL thru TDS Metrocom.
What I had to do to set up my wireless is go to my Gateway's IP address and go to Set Up/Configure and set up wireless. Use WAP Encryption.
If you are confused check your ISP's website under FAQ, Im sure someone has asked them the same question many, many times.
Good Luck To You!

connect the modem they gave you to a router and you are set, make sure you set the password, so no one you don't know can use your internet, or you can get in trouble for what other are doing.
