Best place for vacation in New England?

aside from crowded Cape Cod in summer-where are some good New England (coastal) places to vacation in summer?

Coastal places in New England. Arcadia National Park in Maine. If you decide you may want to go inland. I would recommend the Mountain Region of New Hampshire. All the motels come with pools. Its absolutely beautiful.

anywhere east of Bucksport is alot less crowded than the southern coast.
