Noel... this is a good question. If you were born in December, you would have a summer birthday if you were somewhere south of the equator. By the way Shaina, the Northern and Southern Hemispheres are what make the difference in the seasons not Eastern and Western. You made a reference to 4 hemispheres. Hemisphere means half a sphere. In the Earth only rotates on one axis!

Anywhere in the Southern Hemisphere. I come from New Zealand, and it is definintely summer in December. The temperatures typically range from the mid 20 deg C to mid 30 deg C. People go swiming at the beachs, have out door barbeques, wear T shirts, sun hats, and shorts, and Christmas in the Park, which is attended by about 200,000 people if the weather is good. Yes. Definitely Summer.

Good one.
Impossible in the northern hemisphere (unless it's the name of the town you were born in) but you'd celebrate your birthday enjoying the summer hear in the southern hemisphere.

Why Joseph I believe you'd be at the South Pole but I'd be very surprised if you saw a bear of any kind. On second glance you'd be at the North Pole and the bear would be a polar one...my mistake :)
