Whilst what you are experiencing is normal nevertheless a little tea and sympathy sometime helps.
Your wee one is just getting nicely settled for the next few months and every thing is getting pushed upwards and onwards hence the trapped wind and heartburn so try:
Place a pillow underneath your stomach, turn on your side;
Drinking hot water to shift the wind;
Speak to your local pharmacist about the heartburn as there are products that you can take that will help alleviate the heartburn on
the short term and that will not harm the baby;
Go for walks and stay trim;
Try to stop dwelling on how you are feeling, keep occupied;
And sleep when you feel the need (if you get the opportunity);
Things may or may not improve, and at the end of the day all this
will pale into insignificance once you have given birth and hold your baby in your arms.
So get out there and grit your teeth, cross you legs as well, yes I forgot to mention bladder control..none existent.
All the best and you can do it with a little help from your friends.
PS: I remember with one of my pregnancies I could not bear the smell of leather..and in those days leather seemed to be everywhere. Even now the thought makes me want to boake.

ah thats funny! That is normal. The bigger I got with previous pregnancy's the worse the heart burn and every thing else got. You are in your second trimester and the baby is actually starting to take up a lot of space. If things get to bad for you tell your doctor they will know some comfort messures and might be able to prescribe you something. Good luck it just beginning hang in there!

wait until you are like in weeks 30-40.. It sucks.. Not only do you have a lot of heartburn but your back hurts, you cant breath, you need to use the restroom a lot, you wake up 50 times because you cant get comfy, the baby will kick way hard, or sit on your balder when you aren't near any restrooms. You feel horribly fat, and stretched out.. Any many more. I'm 32 weeks and still have a ways to go.. it is only going to get worse..

I am 19 weeks pregnant, feeling my son move in me is the best feeling in the world. But, I STILL have morning sickness and feel crappy most of the time. It is hard to go through this wonderful thing feeling like sh**. You are not alone and just because you are having a hard time with it does not mean you are ingreatful or being a wine bag. Sometimes you just wish you could feel better and enjoy the life growing inside you.
I know how you feel and you are not alone!
Congrats and good luck things are bound to get better one day LOL!!!

You are in your second trimester and everyone says it gets better. For me it has not, I am 16 weeks and I get heartburn all the time. Make sure you do not lay down for a few hours after eating and keep Malox or Tums near by, my doc says both are safe and they have calcium. I take Malox plus it has anti gas in it and they work like a miracle. I take 1-2 almost everyday.

I'm 36 weeks... wait til you get more towards the end. Things get MUCH MUCH worse. I wish I could go back to 17 weeks... I was barely showing, could sleep through the night, bend over, and much more. Very very limited activity now!!
Good Luck

it's really funny, to make light of the exccess amount of gas I got, my husband and I have a farting contest every once in a while. Lol, too bad I never won ;( but yeah, having a baby is uncomfortable at times, but I hear its not as uncomfortable as giving labour without a epidural.

Well, it does get worse, but at some point you will feel better.... giving birth is one of the best things in the world - nothing can touch it. and you've got that to look forward to, so just get on with it and try and bear it....
good luck...
