Dont feel that you have to compete with the gift. You teacher thought that you would enjoy the $75 so do the same and find that one thing you think she would enjoy. For example, if your teacher likes the christmas season get them a cd of christmas tunes. It is one of those things that people whould like but would never buy for themselves. This is just an example of which direction the start thinking.

I would take twenty five dollars and get her something. My office has a $25. limit on gifts. I am getting my manager a personal coffee pot that dispenses coffee in a travel mug. I am opening the box and putting it in a basket with coffee he likes and short bread cookies(his favorite). The basket is from a dollar store and so is the celophane I am wrapping it in. I think it is the thought that counts and if you get something you know they use but in a fancy version they wouldn't buy for them selves they see you notice and care.
