Area of a square=Length*Length
sqrt(50000)=Length

the answer for calculating the area is right but to calculate the volume of the water tank you need to use the following formulae i.e Pi (Radius sq) multiplied by the height of the tank this will give you the volume. I think David C might have got it wrong
