And? so we shouldn't honor him or remember that due to his birth we have all been blessed and forgiven?

everyone says this but I don't think it's a fact. this another one of those questions that the Bible brings up and only someone who was around then can tell you what really happened. So until Jesus or Mary or Joseph tell the world when he was born then his b-day will stay on christmas.honestly, either way people won't change the date since they've been celebrating it on the same day for years. And no one knows an exact date anyways. But what does any of this matter. the whole point is to celebrate our savior being born which we can do any day of the year.

Christmas is actually from the traditional Germanic celebration of the Winter solstice. The German were animists. Animists believed inanimate objects, such as trees had souls. Animists is believing inanimate objects have living characteristics hence animate.

The Roman Christian church needed the Germans to convert from animism to Christianity. The deal was that if the Germans became Christians then the church would turn the German celebration of the solstice into Christmas. Which is why we have a Christmas tree. Last time I looked there were no pine trees in the manger.

Funny you say that. I went to a church meeting last Christmas that explained the birth of christ and how the star of Bethelhem was one of those celestrial star things. It was truely amazing. Still I enjoy having a season that reminds us of all the wonderful things that the Birth of Christ gave us. So winter is the best time to celebrate. Everyone is cold and wants to be close to the ones they love. So Merry CHRISTmas.

Yeah, I think we all know.

And we all do know that a bunch of monks mucked up the calendar system ages and ages ago. He wasn't actually born on the 25th, no one is totally sure but someone said it was the 25th and we all still believe to this day!

True, we don't know when Jesus was born. We don't even know IF he was born. All we know is that the Bible says he was.

Did you know that it doesn't matter?

December 25 is the day that was picked to honor the birth of Jesus. Yes, I know that it coincides with pagan festivals. No, it doesn't matter.

The Bible doesn't state the exact date of Jesus' birth, but what a lovely time of year to give thanks and celebrate His birth. God bless and Merry Christmas.
