When a quarter of a million Indians come to the Unifed States as computer programmers, they are hired because they can do a highly skilled job and the mere fact that they are the darkest skinned people on earth does not hold them back. When half a million poles come to the UK to do everything from menial jobs earning a pittance to work as Dentists and Doctors. Then its not about your skin colour its about your desire to get of your ahole and pay your way in society, the disabled are being denied resources in society because the race lobby is so parasitic and using this as an excuse. All this legislation should be ripped up as its racist against the average working person who pays their taxes. It shows that western society has no backbone and society should tell people who claim special privilges because of their race to get of their lazy ahole and find work and if not cut all welfare to them.

No it's not about skin color, but part of it is how others perceive skin color. You obviously know your way around they net so I'm sure you have witnessed how racist people can be toward certain groups. AA is just trying to counter that. Most AA systems allow for situations where two people (with the exact same criteria) are up against each other, the minority will get the spot. Notice that they have the same criteria so the minority is not inferior in any way and is qualified for the position, they just get a privilege because they are in a disadvantaged group. NOW, I (a black person) personally don't agree with this system, I think it is broken. I think that if there is any kind of AA in place it should be based on household income, the school one attended (public or private, poor or wealthy), the city they live in (rural, poor...) and things of that nature, not necessarily race. Naturally, minorities will benefit, but it also allows for white males to benefit as well. I kinda formed this opinion after considering my cousins who live in Newport beach, ca (the OC). They have attended private school all their lives and are very wealthy. I don't think they should benefit from AA just because they are black, that wouldn't be fair considering all of the advantages they have had in life. Yeah, the system is broken, but please don't blame the recipients, some really deserve to be where they are. I understand where you are coming from though.

Another reason I have problems with AA, is the fact that as a minority attending law school people tend to assume I got in based on AA not realizing that CA abandoned the system when I applied and that my LSAT score was well above the average score for the school I attend.

If some country kidnapped a bunch of white people and made them work in the fields for free for a 100 years their grandkids might need a little assistance too. That is why there is AA. Also; your not going to believe this, some people use black people as a reason for their own personal failures. It makes some people feel better about themselves. Isn't that funny? These people usually come from parents that were failures.

forget the spell check, that was a good question , very articulate, which is more than i can say for myself, {and some others} .. why not join the bnp party, i joined a few months back, not a skin head with bovver boots, but a granny of 5 children, just feel the same way as you. actually i am married to an indian, and even he is incredulous of our country, and how they put the ethnic minorities before our own people. this would not happen in india he tells me. so yes get angry, but do something about it, let this goverment know, your vote is how you do it,hey stand for a bnp candidate

(makes me wanna get up and become a computer programmer.)

I often wonder how many black genes in one's remote history does one have to have before one is considered black (after all, we were all said to've come out of africa, no?)
Maybe I could apply since my taxes have been used for such. Shouldn't I get use out of my taxes too?

Affirmative Action or Positive Discrimination is just the socialist version of racism.

AA in its intended form was a good idea, but what it has become, it needs to go down the crapper.
