I really don't think that Obama is quite "politically seasoned" enough to be President. Not that I don't admire him or think he would do a good job, but I think he needs a little more time in the political arena.
But I'm with the previous poster: I do kinda think the country would vote for a White woman before a Black candidate, male or female. If 2008's Democratic ticket is Obama vs. Clinton, the party will definitely be nice and split. Would be interesting...
As for a VP selection: I'm not sure yet...I do not think it should be another Black person though. That would definitely split the voters!

i think this country after all that's happened, is ready for a change. whether it be Hillary or Obama. Every ones tired of the Bush administration and the war we can't win. We're all tired of hearing about all the bad things That's become in the past years. And i just feel like we Americans are ready to try something new.

I do not feel our country is ready for a Black president. And if we were, I dont feel that Obama has the political experiance need to maintain a good pace during elections. You have to remember the only reason he won his current position by such a large margin, is because his opponent was charge with beating his wife during their race.

I think Obama is America's best hope right now. The evil doers feel threatened by him. You can tell that Obama is a man of Honor and Integrity. I think He will look out for America's best interest and try his best to repair the damage that George Bush has done.

I think he has a really good shot at it. Oprah's almost been grooming him for that for the past couple of years. I would also like to see Edwards take another run at it. I would not mind Hillary/Bill again since I think he got a bad deal for such a minor offence. At least he didn't get us into a war!!!

Not if he talk like you do. Otherwise of course. now whether or not he'll win is another matter. Flip a coin.
Sorry I couldn't resist.
About that VP, I don't do fill in the blank.

You mean a 'black president' right? why would I be ready for anyone? other then Jesus to come.
No, he won't win. He's not talking about any important issues to me. He's like a motivational speaker. Not someone who's going to tackle big issues and get them done.
To be fair, I've only watched him speak twice, and that's what I thought.
