i would not do it. your body has a natural way of cleansing itself. that is the discharge. dont douch...it may cause a yeast infection or some other infection. if needed just try some fds spray to freshen up. or you can use summers eve while in the shower.

The cons are that it disturbs the pH balance and natural flora in your vagina, leaving you prone to the infections that make you smell bad, and thus making you think you need to douche more.
In unusual cases a doctor may prescribe a douche, but for a healthy woman, I really cannot think of any pros. The vagina is usually a pretty self-regulating organ and messing with its natural operation doesn't usually do you any good.

For many years when I could find Betadine douche, I used it for about 5 to 7 days to cure Yeast infection. Monostate doesn't work for me.
I grew up with douching and think it is healthier than many of the medications.

Our OB/GYN's in the Clinic where I work, recommend not using douche's. Because if you have an infection or other vaginal problems, douching only makes it worse. And can be drying to some women. And make sure you clean yourself after you have been intimate with someone.

Douching causes yeast infections and other types of infection. I don't recommend it for anyone. I can't think of any pros for doing it.
