That's kind of hard because 50 yrs ago people in their late teens early 20s were getting married. Nowadays that still happens, but with the social status of women changing women are starting to wait until they get their careers started to get married. So you could say people are waiting until they are older, but some are still getting married young.

People are getting wiser and realize that they are not mentally prepared to take on a big commitment...In the old days, people got married for the kids and found ways to fall in love with each other...

The divorce rate is so high now that people are looking at their friends and family members and see how hard it is and how much you have to do in a marriage, they decide to wait....

It is also that some men don't want to commit due to the ratio between men and women is high and they feel as if they may miss out and may have not met Mrs.Right...

Also, the men aren't respecting women as some women don't take the time to get to know the man, by the first date, they are on their back....Women don't know that a man does not respect you if you let him slide up in you on the first date and the men are still out there hoping to find the right woman who will respect herself and take the time to get to know the man before he gets to stick you....
