Pregnancy symptoms differ from woman to woman and pregnancy to pregnancy; however, one of the most significant pregnancy symptoms is a delayed or missed menstrual cycle. Understanding pregnancy symptoms is important because each symptom may be related to something other than pregnancy. Some women experience pregnancy symptoms within a week of conception. For other women, symptoms may develop over a few weeks or may not be present at all. Below is a listing of some of the most common pregnancy symptoms.

One of the earliest sign is Implantation bleeding. About 6-12 days after conception, the embryo implants itself into the uterine wall. Some women will experience spotting as well as some cramping.

Swollen or tender breasts is a pregnancy symptom which may begin as early as 1-2 weeks after conception. Women may notice changes in their breasts; they may be tender to the touch, sore, or swollen.

Usually in the first pregnancy, one also gets morning sickness. This well-known pregnancy symptom will often show up between 2-8 weeks after conception. Some women are fortunate to not deal with morning sickness at all, while others will feel nauseous throughout most of their pregnancy.

If you are pregnant, the skin around your nipples may get darker.

While you may not have a strong desire to eat pickles and ice cream, many women will feel cravings for certain foods when they are pregnant. This can last throughout your entire pregnancy.

Now, the most definitive way of knowing whether you are indeed pregnant is through the urinary detection of HCG and that is what is done by the commercially available urinary tests for pregnancy; usually, they detect pregnancy within about 1 week and even earlier of the missing period.

In my experience, it took about a week and a half for me to notice any sort of symptoms, and by 2 weeks I had full on "morning sickness" and had it throughout my WHOLE pregnancy until the day I gave birth. That's how I knew I was pregnant because I could no longer stand the smell of foods that I made at work every single day.

I didn't find out i was pregnant till i missed my period plus just cause you had unprotected sex means your are going to get pregnant. if you were about 1 to 2 weeks after you had your period there is a greater chance of you getting pregnant. (your most fertile about two weeks after your last period)
I didn't start getting morning sickness until i was about 5 weeks along as well as breast tenderness.
I would recommend waiting to see if you miss your period, and then take a test. Good Luck!!

I got sore boobs 3 days before my period was due. I also had cramping.

M/S came for me at 7 weeks and was gone at 10 weeks!

If you had sex and were ovulating then usually 14 days later you would notice something and at that time you can test. All people are different you may feel different right away or you may have an uneventful pregnancy!

Usually when you miss your first period 2 weeks but some women just know, I did with my first and it was hard to wait the 2 weeks till I found out for sure. I can remember my husbands face, he was running down the halls at Headquarters battalion yelling I'm gonna be a dad. LOL

Wait until you have missed your period, that is usually the first sign for most women. Some women don't have early symptoms of pregnancy except for missed periods, so you would have to see your doctor if you missed a period.

Hi there,
It all depends on each person, I didn't have morning sickness but my breasts did begin to itch and enlarge maybe a month after I became pregnant. Your chances on getting pregnant are higher without protection you can get pregnant after that one time or you may not. I think you should wait and see if you miss your monthly cycle.

different strokes for different folks(no pund intended),the nomal travel of the sperm to the ovaries is approximatly three-seven days, your body is different than another female,so, wait for a missed period or two, just to make sure,it also depends on your ovalation,to get rid of the guess work, just get yourself an early detection kit,or see a doctor, but not the following day after sex,it is too soon.

After implantation happens, that is when you start making HCg hormones, and implantation can happen anywhere from hours to weeks after unprotected sex.
