definitely not, but get a present according to the nature of your relationship.
Something small would be in order if you are just getting to know someone, but also make it fit how you see that person's personality/likes/style and so on.
If you buy anything extravagant, it may send the wrong message. A gift card for a free coffee or something like that would work: it's small, the person can use it, and (if they like coffee) it's tailored to their taste.

No. It's depends on if you are planning to go out for a Christmas dinner or a party with friends you both know.
It's o.k. to gets something. Just makes sure its really, really, really small gift so the guy won't feel like a heel if he didn't gets you anything because he may not have thought of that.
Maybe a movie coupon for that 4th date..lol.
Anything that you were able to know about him and his life will help you for a gift.
Maybe a book that he like to have but can't find or pay for?
If he has a pet maybe something for the pet.Its small and not too pricey to do something cute like a new toy, or food supply?
There are some ideas hope it help but mostly its up to you how you want to do this and not scare the guy off... lol..(hold off the sexy/naughty pictures for next Christmas if you both are together then.) ...lol.. ;-)
I wish you luck and a good Christmas. :-)

A small token gift would be nice, such as a CD or DVD.
Maybe, your gift would be the next "date" dinner and movie!
