People have told me that a mother just knows what she is going to have. I really honestly dont know. I dont want to really tell anyone what I think it is either because I will feel horrible if I am wrong. I think I am having a boy. I would love either, but I dont find out for another 4 weeks! Did any of you "know", and if you thought you did were you right?

If your stomach is pointy and sticks straight out, it may be a boy. If it is lower and very round like a ball, it may be a girl. This is an "old wives tale" but it was true for me.

Good luck!

I just knew I was having a boy with my first pregnancy and the baby was a girl and vise versa with my second pregnancy. I had even picked out a girls name and girl bedding and the first outfit to come home in for the baby.... then at an ultrasound when I was 36 wks they could see very clearly the baby was a boy. I have heard a lot of moms say they knew what they were having but the way I look at it is you have a 50-50 chance of being right :) Im 7 wks pregnant, I think its a girl so it will probably be a boy, but like you said: Ill be happy with either. Well, Good Luck and Congrats!

The old wives tales about telling what your having by the way you carry is bull. I carried both my pregnancies the same: small and low and I had one boy and one girl.

I never wanted to find out the sex of any of my boys before their birth. I just knew from when I found out I was pregnant with my first it was going to be a boy. Noah proved that I was right. My second, I kept flip-flopping between girl and boy. He sure knew because at the second ultrasound I was told not to look if I didn't want to know the sex. Apparently Ridley wanted to share his junk with the world. With my third I really had no inkling one way or the other and I was so hoping for a girl but Charlie had other plans. I plan to start trying for #4 very soon and have been thinking pink. Perhaps if I am already in the girl mode that I will conceive a girl. Couldn't hurt, right?
Congrats and Good Luck!

In the begining I knew it was a boy, but for arguements sake on what to name him I didn't want a boy. Then towards the end of my first trimester and the begining of my second I thought it was a girl. Everyone kept saying that it was a girl because boys aren't man to their mothers when their pregnant. I always knew it was a boy, but my mother insisted I was having a girl. And I was right it was a boy. Go ahead have a guess don't feel bad if your wrong. It's a 50/50 chance. Look on the Chinese Birth Chart

With my first, I felt I "knew" I was having a boy - and when we had the ultrasound it turns out I was right. With my second I wasn't too sure, thought it might be a boy - and once again I was right. This third time (I am 8 weeks) I am not sure at all.

My best advice to you is to not say what you think you are having until you find out from the ultrasound. You can speculate all you want, but until the doctor tells you for sure you won't know for sure.

Best of luck!

when i was pregnant with my son 4 yrs ago I wasnt able to see his privates on the ultrasound so i had no idea what i was having. Everyone around me assumed I was having a girl and I just always said " knowing my luck, its a boy" and sure enough it was a boy. I bought a lot of neutral colored clothes just in case it was a girl or boy but i leaned a lot more toward blues and greens which are more a boyish thing, and sometimes your intuition is right. maybe your having a boy, maybe a girl. either way long as the baby and you are healthy thats all that matters. Congrats on becoming pregnant!!

Yeah, I knew I was having a boy. I wanted a girl, but I just knew it was a boy. Another thing that happened to me was in the beginning of the pregnancy, everything I picked out, i.e. pack n play, swing, walker all that stuff, was all boy colors. I didn't realize it at the time nor did I care because I really wanted it to be a girl, but it's a boy!! We had the scan at 20 weeks and the ultrasound tech was like I know what it is, and I said its a boy and she said you're right!
Good Luck!

I knew I was going to have a boy. I had no doubt at all about it. Sure enough I had a boy.

There is always a 50/50 chance of having a boy or girl even if you thought you knew. However I really think that a women has this instinct when it comes to her children. I knew I was pregnant too weeks before I ever took the test!

This is a tough one.... I personally didnt have a thought on what I was having. As a matter of fact it was his mother who one day said "your pregnant" and the next week she said "oh and its a girl" How would she know that? Well she told me because her son was having all the cravings that it was going to be a girl. And sure enough she was right. People also say if your all belly its one thing and if you gain weight all around its another. Thats not true, my cousin and I are both pregnant, she gained weight all around and I'm all belly. Both with girls. But I do believe that craving one. My brother just found out he's having a girl and yes he has all the cravings....

I was told I was going to have a boy because my "butt was big."
I really wanted a boy so I'm not sure if it was because I wanted a boy or if I just knew - anyway I'm having a boy :) - hopefully in the next few days! My midwife doesn't do ultrasounds but I went to a place that does 3D ultrasounds (not for medical reasons) and found out I was having a boy.

I thought for sure I was having a boy with my first pregnancy. That was all I could think. I had boy names, I looked at the baby boy clothes... I was positive....but, I had a girl. A beautiful baby girl. We found out early, so I had some time to process this before she was born, but I was stunned. I was so sure it was a boy, too. Now I am pregnant again and I am not worried about it. I will find out in February sometime what this one is and I am trying to keep an open mind and not anticipate anything. Good luck to you and remember, your baby's gender is not going to matter to you once he/she is here.
