I've used Advent, Playtex Nursers w/ dropins (which I HATE because you have to push the milk up to get the air out. My son was super gassy with these) , Evenflo (which are horrible, too. They don't let any air out. You can tell by taking the bottle out of the babys mouth and you can see all the air bubbles go back up). I have over 30 of them, but the best I've used BY FAR is the Ventaire by Playtex. They let all of the air out so your LO doesn't have nearly as much gas and they come apart on both ends for proper cleaning! I love these bottles. HTH

I went through about 4 different brands of bottles with my daughter until we finally reached harmony with the Dr. Brown's bottles. My son (now 4) had an iron tummy and could take any kind of bottle or formula, my daughter (3 1/2 months) is the complete opposite and is on the most expensive hypo-allergenic lactose free formula you can buy and HAS to have the Dr. Brown's bottles or she is a nightmare of gassiness and fussiness, so to cut any chance of having to spend a ton of money on other bottles just go straight for the best and buy the Dr. Brown ones, they aren't really any more expensive than the others anyway. I also have done daycare for MANY years and have tried just about every bottle out there and these have been by far the best.
Here is the link so you can check them out if you aren't familiar with them already.

Second best to those would be the Playtex Ventaire bottles:

Also another thing to consider is that with disposable drop-ins like others are suggesting (which didn't work for my daughter either btw) is that there is the added cost of constantly buying liners....and when you are shelling out upwards of $100 a month on formula you really don't need unnecessary costs.

Just like all your supplies, I don't think you can know until you try some. A lot of companies make a "sampler" with a few styles so you can try them. Don't go nuts with any baby supplies (diapers, wipes, bottles, etc) because you might find you like another brand better once you try it out.
I personally liked the Playtex Nurser which takes either preformed or collapsible liners, both disposable. It's less mess, and the collapsible liners seem to reduce gas.

I like the playtex with the disposable liners cause the liner acts like a mothers breast and deflates. Also as your child gets older it does not matter if they hold it up or let it hang down cause you take the air out, as with a solid bottle you can't remove the air and the child has to tilt their head way back to drink.

A bottle is a bottle and they all feed your child the same way. There are certain bottles that have nipples shaped just like yours which gives the baby the feeling of sucking on its mothers nipple. It's in your preference as to which bottles to use. Good Luck!

I am not a mother, but I had the wonderful opportunity of feeding my six kids a bottle, and I will suggest the platex disposable bottle. It worked great for my kids and me,the plastic bag allowed me to get rid of the air, which reduced the colic and bloating in my kids, and they are get for taking on the road.
