Could be any number of things from a vacuum leak due to a bad vacuum hose or the Idle Air control valve which controls the idle or a dirty mas air flow sensor, or fuel pressure regulator going bad. Needs to be checked by a competent mechanic. Get at least 2 estimates. If any doubts where to take use the AAA recommended shops.

Vacuum leak. The engine is sucking air from a hose that is cracked, or came off the intake manifold.

you've probably got a idle air control motor sticking. Sometimes if you tap on it with a small hammer it will go to working properly. It's located on the throttle body, right near the throttle lever. it will be a small round silver cylinder with wires coming out of it.
If you find it and tap on it and it does go to working, you will need to replace it, taping on it is only a temporary fix.
