I'm trying to remember this HBO "Afterschool Special" like, life lesson program that was on in the mid-80s. It was about a high school students after learning about civil rights, the class participates in social class experiment where they're arbitrarily given a color arm band, where 'Blue' were the upper class, 'Red' was the lower class (or vise-versa, I can't remember). There was this Asian girl who was into this Caucasian boy, but they were put into different social classes. Anyway, it was an allegorical story about social classes and civil rights. Does anybody remember the name this program? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I think that it may have been The Wave. I am not sure if it is the same movie, but it was about different classes and a social studies project. I remember that it paralleled the Nazi government. I remember that one of the smart kids with no friends had a big part in the upper class and was upset when the project ended. There was also some sort of riot or assembly at the end where the social studies teacher showed that the classes "leader" was Hitler and everyone was shocked.
