I have SEVERE pain in my left side between my ribs and my hips. My period is a bit late if that help at all. It came on sudddenly about 1 hr ago and i could hardly breathe through the pain. i took 2 atasol 30s and it is bearable but bad now. It eases up when i lie down. Any suggestions as i dont want to go to the emergency room for something dumb

You may have a kidney stone or an ovarian cyst.. I would go to get it checked out as soon as you can.

You may have an ovarian cyst that has ruptured. If you're running a fever and are queasy, call your doctor.
Another option may be that your intestines are cramping up. Also a trip to the dr if it doesn't go away.

maybe you're having a miscarriage, a kidney stone...or some kind of cyst on your ovaries. I feel for you, and i hope that you go to the doctor asap. Ouch..good luck

I'm a med student and we were just studying cancer cells. You might have a cancerous tumor on you kidney. You need to go get help.

you may want to go to your obgyn about this.I have endometriosis and have constant pain all month and worse when my period arrives.It also messes up your menstral cycle.
