Islam itself is only no longer affected. Did "Christianity" proceed to exist international conflict II? Saudi Arabia is a dictatorship and Iran is a theocracy. Saudi Arabia would not represent Sunni concept any more desirable than Canada represents Protestantism. The religions are unlikely to be tormented by small-scale politics and fights between governments.

Saudi Arabia wouldn't be able to survive a smal scuffle with the Philadelphia Police Department let alone the 6th strongest military in the world.

Never forget that Iran was Persia until the 20th Century. They are not Arabs and have a history of victory and splendor. You seriously do not want to get into a scuffle with them. That is unless your the president and have a bunch of troops lying around to do the fighting for you.

Looks like we might be heading in that direction. Pretty ominous. I wonder which side we should take? Sunni? Shiite? or just side with "the bullets" in general, whichever direction they're flying?
