WD-40 is way over-rated, it does more harm than good on most applications. Silicone and Lithium sprays would solve your problem fast.

You could try lubricating grease. But that could get nasty. Probably if the WD40 didn't stop it, you need to look closely at what is causing the noise and repair it.
Without actually seeing exactly where the noise is originating from on the rocker, its hard for me to offer foolproof advice, but it could be that you're not getting the oil on the precise area that is making the noise. If the noise has originated from damage or alteration of moving parts, or reasons other than just being rusty, the WD40 might not solve the problem anyway.

Patches may be right on,and WD40 dont have much lubrication in it,some others say they contain oil.

I would say that you have two parts that are rubbing together and need seperated or bent away from each other. Try a heavier oil that will hopefully stick to the parts...

it should work...keep putting on WD40,,and still if that doesn't work..try replacing that piece of metal to a newer one,,,,

Try graphite, or silicone spray.
