ive looked on loads of magasines and wierd birth things but never actually found out whether im a leo or virgo...

Virgo but it is a Leo Cusp. The sign changes on August 22 so anybody born 3 days before and 3 days after that share aspects of the upcoming or outgoing sign. In this case you're a Virgo with some Leo tendencies.

You are on what most people call a "cusp". Since you're literally right on a change date, you should go to www.astro.com and make yourself a birth chart. It's really the only way to tell.
You may have a Leo sun, but sometimes on change days, planets may have already moved into the next sign, which in your case would be Virgo. This would make you feel more like a Virgo than a Leo. The opposite could happen too though. You could have a Virgo sun, but most of the planets in your chart are stuck in Leo, making you feel more Leo-like than Virgo. Kind of confusing, but it's just the way it works :) You do need your birth time/place/location to get the most accurate chart.

u know my birthday is on 23 august and really i wanted to know if i am Virgo or Leo but i found that most of the magazines write that 23 is a Virgo ,also u know some mugs write that 23/8 is a Virgo so my last decision was that i am Virgo . i hope that Ur decision be like me cuz Virgo is more interesting than Leo.

Pami is right on. That is my birthday and I identify with Virgo with Leo tendencies! I'm more of a Virgo than a Leo. What I did was read both Leo in formation and Virgo information and found out which one fit me the best. You'll soon see which sign you favor more, it'll probably be Virgo.

It is close so look it up if you can or edit your question with your year of birth and (time if possible) and I can find out for you.
My niece's birthday is the 23rd of July so for many years we figured a Leo, which did not quite fit. So I looked up her birthdate information on an ephemeris and as it turns out that year the sun did not move into Leo until late on the 24th and thus making her a Cancer.
Next year for example the Sun stays longer in Leo before moving into Virgo, and so on stays in Virgo until the 24th of Sept!

It actually depends on the astrologer. My brother has the same birthday and always said Leo. According to Yahoo Astrology, it's Leo. According to www.astrology.com it's a Virgo.
