I may not live in Europe now how ever that where I was born.... in any case in Portugal we would eat Cod fish casserole, shrimp, octopus, Sweet bread, and kings cake. You should not be so dismissive seeing that most Canadians are from Europe anyways.

Have a merry Christmas.

by the way in Spain and France their Christmas foods are different then Portugal although they are also considered a part of Europe.

in england most people would have turkey for christmas dinner with roast potatos, brussel sprouts and other veg. Then christmas pudding (rich fruit pudding) with brandy butter.

there are lots of variations though - some people have goose. Fish is rarely eaten at christmas.

On boxing day, we usually eat cold meat (left over from the day before) with pickles and Bubble & squeak- which is fried potatos and sprouts and other veg (all left overs from the previous day)
