That depends on the age and maturity level of the teenage daughter. Why do we continue to tell our daughters to be ashamed of their bodies? Masturbation is a normal part of growing up. Curiosity is normal. Do we want our teenage daughters learning about sexuality from teenage boys? Isn't it better to have an open line of communication with our daughters, so that they understand that masturbation and curiosity are normal things.
Do you buy hand lotions? We all know what the 15 year old son is doing with the hand lotion behind the locked door. Some parents even buy their sons condoms. Is that inappropriate?
Finally any grown woman will tell you. No one loves you like you. A vibrator isn't going to send her looking for a boy. She'll be looking for more batteries

I don't think a mother should actually buy her teenage daughter a vibrator, but she can tell her about it. I mean, if I found a vibrator in my daughter's drawer, I wouldn't freak out. It's better for her to use that than go out and sleep with a guy. Honestly, it's the parent's decision, but I don't think it's horribly inappropriate.

I wouldn't buy it for her. Its great that your letting her masturbate, though. It will help her avoid getting STDs, AIDs, and pregnant!
Maybe let her know its ok by you if she buys one her for herself. Only if she's around 16 or 17, though. Otherwise, just wait.
