how many pets do you own and why?

13 and i like all the pets we have rabbits gunieapigs hamsters horses dogs and now 4 cats

I own 2 moggies called Elvis and Priscilla, they were rescue cats.
I also breed pedigree Bengals, so have a cattery with 3 stud cats and 4 Queens, one has had a litter of 6 kittens.
I also have 2 budgies, a guinea pig and 50 koi carp.

Why do I have them?

Maybe they are a substitute for children, but I never wanted kids so don't know if that's true. I like to touch them and take care of them and cuddle them. They are fascinating to watch when they get up to all sorts of weird and wonderful things, other than that, I don't really know what more I can say.

let's see now, we have a rabbit, a hamster, a leopard gecko, a goldfish and a betta fish.

rabbit: b/c when we walked by his cage at the pet shop in search for a hamster, he saw us and climbed all over his brothers and sisters to get to us. it was love at first sight. besides, my first rabbit died and i never got over it, so this new guy eased the pain (somewhat).

hamster: b/c my sister wanted a mouse, but i cant stand the sight of mice, especially in the house! they have beaty eyes and twitching whiskers and those long-**** tails, and ewwwwwwwwww!!!!! so we compromised, settled on a hamster. 2 actually, but one recently past away, bless her furry soul. she was the absolute best, sniff sniff :-(

leopard gecko: my sister loves them for some strange reason. she wants to get another one. they're sweet, tame, cute. nice patterns. but eh, boring as heck, unless they're putting on a show catching crickets!

betta: we can't have a dog, so we settled on a ... get this ... betta fish. the blue one died, so we got a red one. fish aren't pets; they're decoration!!! heh

goldfish: see above. actually, this little guy is very smart. he sees me coming and does this little hungry dance. i swear that fish eats every 5 minutes!!! won't stop following you around the room until you sprinkle some flakes in her bowl then gobbled it up w/ vigor!!!

dang it, i still want a dog!!!!!

I own 1 Miniature Dachshund. I love him dearly and he lives in our house. I think I need another 1 or 2 more, but my hubby says 1 is enough.

I own 8 dogs - Because they are loyal pets.
3 cats - Because my kids wanted them
2 fish - Because they r pretty
1 hamster- Because of my daughter
2 ferrets - Because of the kids
And most of all is because we LOVE animals!!!!!!!!!

2 dogs(a yorkie and a greyhound)3 rabbits 2 guinea pigs 3 fish and 2 canaries..why?coz animal cruelty better than beating the kids up..doh! i have them coz i love them they are fed watered loved given hugs and kisses and they dont answer me back

1 Dog her name is Zara she's a Rottweiler, and 5 tropical fish. Because we love rotties and we like fish.
