I think you also need help with spelling and grammar. Perhaps you should call your English teacher. "WRITTING" an introduction probably won't come easy to you if you can't even spell writing properly. Good luck with that.

A good introduction will lead the reader easily into your thesis. It depends on your view on why people go into debt. First, examen your thesis (your answer to the question "Why people go into debt."). For example, if your opinion is that people go into debt because of pressure, high interest, and lack of knowledge on maintain good credit, you could write something like this:

Many businesses accept credit cards and/or rely on an individual's credit rating in order to provide a service. Because of this, a large majority of people in the United States use credit cards or some form of electronic currency to recieve good and services. The reason people go into debt is because of the overwellming pressure to use electronic payment methods over paper money, .....

This is a start to help you through the process. Just make sure that whatever facts you wirte, you have your work cited for each statement and you informally cite the name of the source and all other information within the text of the paragraph.

Throughout the United States today, many people are in debt. There are many reasons for this, but the primary reason is that advertising has "brainwashed" people into believing that they "need" things when they really don't. There are many examples, but consider the following.

Many people spend thousands of dollars every year on Christmas presents which they give to people who probably do not like them, do not think of them during the year, and will probably not come to their funeral. Why? Because to not give the present sends a signal that you are angry with them.

The cosmetic industry is a market worth billions of dollars each year. Why? Because "you deserve it!"

The SUV market is not going away, in spite of the high cost of gas and the damage to the road infrastructure caused by larger vehicles. Why? Because an SUV is a "status symbol" and when you drive one you show how successful you really are.

there are thousands of examples of people spending money on things that they really don't need. This causes a habit which becomes an addiction, and pretty soon you are out of control.

Couple that with the fact that banks and other lending institutions are very willing to provide you with credit cards and many people think this is somehow free money.
