i personally do not think shevchenko will make a significant improvement. He will make improve the team slightly, but not in the same way when he was in milan. he was a star in milan and in chelsea, other stars like drogba and lampard overpower him. Yes, shevchenko will score goals but not when the pressure is on. drogba is the guy you want on the pitch when the team is down. drogba is the teams star striker, not shevchenko. he was a leader in milan but here in chelsea he is only the terry and lampard lead the team. he is 30 yrs old already and has no time for a major improvement.

I think that not only is Shevchenko suffering from a loss of pace but he is also suffering from a lack of confidence. As we know with strikers confidence is absolutely critical. If they are not hitting the back of the net regularly then they start to feel like they never will.

Personally I do not think he fits into Mourinho's style and I don't really think Mourinho wants him at Chelsea. As we saw recently against Newcastle I think he will spend more and more time on the bench and Chelsea will look to resort to their tried and tested 4-3-3 formation.

I can see Sheva scoring a few more goals this year from the bench and there is no doubting he still has class but his best days are behind him and he will not make a telling contribution to the outcome of the league championship.

He is being sub-ed in and sub-ed out a lot more now than when he just came from Milan. This will be interesting to see if he becomes hungry enough to get back to quality or if he is going to get discouraged and leave Chelsea. I think he will be more successful with Real Madrid in La Liga than he is with Chelsea at the premier league. Personally, I don't think he is responding to Mourinho's methods. He will not help chelsea to win...even if they win this year (which they won't, it's man utd's year), Sheva will have nothing to do with it.

Sheva will improve somewhat and score more goals for Chelsea but he will never recapture the form he had at Milan and will probably leave in the Summer or in January 2008.

There is always room for improvement, so only time will tell. Will he be as successful with Chelsea as he was with Milan? Who knows.

One player can't win anything. The question should be: will Chelsea help Sheva adapt in the club and become part of the machine? But, honestly, I never believed he would make it in England. He is too old to change the style of his game.

shevchenko is a great football player but he is strating to regret comming to chelsea and he wiches that milan take him back but they just said that they dont want him anymore so i think the only thing a great football player can do is sush situation is to improve and help his team

sheva was a great player, and he still might be, but one of the reasons sheva is not standing out as he used to do in milan is drogba, he is doing so good that andryi has lost his confidence, besides the fact that he's getting older,
certainly, after a while he'll get better and better but for sure, he's never gonna be who he was in milan,

I don think so.He has come to a country with a different style of play and he is too old to adapt [30 years old?].And being a star,i dont think he will like being substituted and not starting games. Most probably Chelsea will sell him and buy a new star, whoever that may be.
