So it all began with taking an antibiotic and not using a second method of birth control. I was worried I was pregnant, I even started spotting last night 2 weeks before my period was due. But now.... I have started spotting a bit heavier, although I would call it a far cry from a heavy period. Started last night and it still is continuing this morning. What's going on?!? I take the pill and my body is always regular. Could I have started a period 2 weeks early?

go see a doctor and don't ask people on the internet to solve such things. You could put yourself in a dangerous situation by trusting someone you do not know.

Antibiotics can greatly reduce the potency of birth control pills. The degree varies from person to person. I doubt that you are pregnant but it is a possibility. I had a 48 hr stomach bug about 6 months ago~the pills got flushed because they were in my vomit~ and spotted for a whole month. I didn't get pregnant. If you've been on the pill for awhile (3+ months) and are still taking them as directed, you should be just fine. To ease your mind wait until a week after your period should have been due and take a pregnancy test.

You should call a doctor and set up an appointment. You probably starting your period two weeks early because of the anibiotic. It makes you pill not effective. Just to be safe call the doc. and set up an appointment. You'll be fine. Ad it's okay to ask questions. My question is why other people get on this website knowing that people are going to ask questions and they criticize people for the questions they ask. Don't worry about what other people have to say. Your question is compleetly relevent.

Sometimes you can get break through bleeding with being on the pill. I used to get spotting around ovulation time...like clockwork every month. I knew I was pregnant at day 21 of my cycle because I never got the spotting.

It's a known fact that a womans period is affecting by stress, illness, diet, etc. I would go to your obgyn...as much as I doubt your pregnant, there could be other things going on that should be evaluated.
