My Sister in Law never gained that much weight when she was pregnant, she only got a tummy (u know what I mean) but she didn't gain any weight any where else. I guess she only gained about 10 lbs or so. U r only 1 inch higher then me, same weight. But i'm trying to gain some weight while trying, i'm taking iron to help gain safely. I allways that I was the only one that they never had xs dresses for. I really couldn't imagine myself with 145 lbs either, where on earth did you hear that?? Just wondering. Well good Luck.

My first pregnancy I weighed 100 when I first was pregnant at the end I was 123 pounds. This time around I started out at 112 I am 30 weeks pregnant a 128 pounds, still have 10 weeks to gain. I am 5'1" I look pregnant but not hefty. The weight will go to your breasts, your belly and your bottom mostly. Don't worry you won't look big, just pregnant. Average weight gain is 20 to 35 pounds, you will probably fall somewhere in the middle.

Every woman is different. A healthy level of weight gain for you will depend partly on how much you weighed before becoming pregnant. Your doctor may not recommend a specific number of pounds to gain, but instead will let you know if you're gaining too much or too little. A weight gain of between 25 and 35 pounds during pregnancy is about average. If you were thin before pregnancy, however you might gain more than that -- as much as 40 pounds -- depending on your doctor's advice. If you were overweight before becoming pregnant, your doctor may suggest that you limit your weight gain to between 15 and 25 pounds.
Obese women are not to exceed over 25 pounds of weight gain during preganacy. Excessive weight can put you and your baby at risk for pregnancy complications.

You'd be amazed at how hungry you are when you are pregnant. :] If you can keep yourself to a 30-35 pound weight gain, that's reasonable for both you and the baby. And you might not gain that much and still be healthy. Everyone is different. Most health care providers look for regular weight gain in small increments.

You're short so your weight would probably be a weigh gain about 30 to 35 pounds at the end of your pregnancy.

I am 5'5 and weighed 110 when I got pregnant. I gained up to about 145. It varies from woman to woman, but just because you have a smaller build doesn't necessarily mean you won't gain as much weight as other women. Believe me, there are plenty of places for it to go lol. Good luck =)

You don't have to gain 35 pounds. You only have to gain 20 pounds total and that would all be baby weight. Let's say on average an 8 pound baby, and then a few pounds for placenta, and another couple of pounds for water weight and breasts. You only have to gain 20 pounds total. Make sure you take your vitamins and eat healthy but enough to keep your baby a healthy size. You definatly don't have to gain 35 pounds to have a healthy baby.

It all depends on how you take care of yourself. I was a small build too, but girl them pounds find a way to your body and stay there. A lot of smaller women carry all the weight in their belly. So they could weigh 140 and it could be all baby. If you're not actually eating for two, which you're not supposed to, you should gain the healthy weight which is the baby, boobs, amniotic fluid, and placenta. Good Luck!!

It's different for every woman. I've heard between 25-35 lbs. is a normal weight to gain. But that being said, some women gain more and some women gain less.
You're lucky that you are a petite woman, but most women weigh more than 145lbs. So it's kinda rude to imply that 145lbs. is a lot to weigh.

You will find places to pack it! They say you are supposed to gain about 30 lbs., but that does not mean you will, you might go over or under that amount. For instance, I am 5'5 and weigh 115 lbs. But by the time I had my son I weighed 172 lbs! I know that is excessive, but a lot of that was just water weight. I was swollen everywhere! You will find places to put the weight where you never thought you could before! Like your butt, breasts, face, feet, ankles, stomach, hips,..........LOL!
