It has always worked very well, then about three weeks ago for a whole week it did not come on at ALL. Luckily i live in a state that is not too cold, so i had not needed it.

Then the week after that it came on just fine. Then on Tuesday it did the same thing but for one day only.
I have not had it checked yet. The weather is still warm, but in January it can get real cold!
I've never had a car whose heat had stopped working?

So your heat is acting up, huh? Give it a time out, that's what I do to my kids when they act up in the car.

If you add a note telling everyone what type and year of vehicle you are talking about you will get better answers. All we can do is give you general answers.

Thanks

could be a vacuum leak. A lot of heater valve or heater under-dash units have air flow diverting doors that are controlled by vacuum.
