Hmmm ... are you apathetic about your job, or about everything in general? Sounds like you might have a case of the blues.
If it's just your job you don't care about, why not find a career counselor at your local community college or perhaps get a referral from a counseling center. A career counselor can really help you find a career you will feel passionate about. You can't feel motivated to make more money if you don't like your work.
Something to consider: Your livelihood should be a natural extension of who you are as a person. Maybe you feel like a natural "artist", "healer", or "builder." Also, if you could do anything in the universe your heart desires - with a guarantee that you would be successful at it, does anything come to mind?
Hopefully that will give you some food for thought. The most important thing to remember is to not allow yourself to get "stuck."
Good luck and I hope you find your life purpose and career passion!

If you don't care you won't make more money, you have to care in order to get ahead.

Extend your ambiguity to encompass your desire of money and material comforts. Allow yourself to completely succumb to ennui and genuine sloth. While it does require a modicum of effort, it's easier than real work.

If you don't care, then you won't put forth the effort.
