there's no set weight for each month. you should only gain 20-40 lbs during your pregnancy. at least that's the normal weight. my aunt gained 70 with her second child and we thought there was a second baby the dr. hadn't noticed, but there wasn't. she just had a lot of extra water weight. so if you're too worried about your weight call the dr's office and see what the ideal amount would be. i also just found this on a website:
If pre-pregnancy weight was in the healthy range for your height according to your healthcare provider (a BMI of 18.5 to 24.9), you should gain between 25 and 35 pounds, gaining 2 to 5 pounds in the first trimester and about 1 pound per week for the rest of your pregnancy for the optimal growth of your baby. If you were underweight for your height at conception (a BMI below 18.5), you should gain 28 to 40 pounds. If you were overweight for your height (a BMI of 25 to 29.9), you should gain 15 to 25 pounds. If you were obese (a BMI of 30 or higher), you should gain no more than 15 pounds. If you're having twins you should gain about 35 to 45 pounds. If you fall into any of these four categories, talk to your healthcare provider about how much you should gain each month.
FYI: Call your healthcare provider if you notice sudden swelling in your hands and face. It could signal a dangerous pregnancy-related condition called preeclampsia.
Much of the weight you've been accumulating will be gone pretty soon after you give birth. Mothers usually lose one-half of their pregnancy weight gain in the first six weeks postpartum. The baby accounts for about 7.5 pounds (more or less), and the amniotic fluid, placenta, and extra body fluids and blood in your body add up to another 8 to 12 pounds. Also, your uterus and breasts have gotten bigger, adding up to 4 to 6 pounds. Remember, it took nine months to put on the weight, and it can take just as long or longer for all of it to come off.

It depends on the person. Drs usually want you to gain about 25 - 35 lbs by the end of your pregnancy. If you were underweight before, you should probably gain a bit more, but even overweight before conception should gain about 15 lbs total. By this time, it wouls be healthy for you to have gained about 12 - 18 lbs, but that's just an estimate. Many woman gain early or late, as long as you keep to 25 - 35 lbs, that is healthy.
Oh and this person above me is full of it! Just read "What to Expect When You're Expecting" and it will break down the weight gain. I think it's something like:
8 - 12 lbs of fat stores
7 - 8 lbs of baby
6 - 9 lbs of water weight
5 - 6 lbs of blood volume
25 - 35 lbs total
So it's much more than 8 lbs of baby for a healthy weight gain!

Weight gain of 5 lbs would be normal at 5 months and a total of 15 pounds at 8-9 month. In the last month you may gain another 5-10 pounds of water retention. Most babies are about 7-8 pounds so if you think 30 or 40 pounds is ok weight gain, then you are fooling yourself.

Honey, you should feel bigger, because you are! Your pregnant. How much weight you should have gained depends entirely on you. When I was pregnant, I started out underweight so I naturally gained more than the recommended 25-35 pounds during my pregnancy because my eating habits got better. My midwife advised me to not be so concerned with the scales, but rather with what I am putting into mine and my babie's bodies.

the "average" woman will gain 3-4 pounds in the frist trimester and then about a pound a week until the end of pregnancy to total about 35 to 40 pounds, with my first pregnancy i gained 25 pounds in the first three months then about a pound a week till the end. With this pregnancy i have only gained 4 pounds and am 19 weeks today.

It depends on how much you weighed before you were pregnant. Thereare websites that you can go on and see if you are in the normal range. If it helps I was 135 when I got pregnant and at 5 months I was abojut 150 or 155 .I gained 30 pounds when I was pregnant.

Those apps aren't correct for each person.. If you wish to determine whilst you ovulate I advise BBT charting or getting an ovulation prediction package from the drug retailer. There is continuously a mild hazard of being pregnant you probably have unprotected intercourse however it isnt as handy to get pregnant as out historical heath academics made it look! Id wait till you omit your interval and take a experiment (taking it any quicker is in general a unhappiness!) Good good fortune, I desire we get out BFP's this month!!

I don't believe in ideal weights...eat healthy, no alcohol or drugs and let your baby have what it needs. I've had 5 children and believe me...each pregnancy is different and each baby needs something different. If you crave it...no matter how strange it is...it's because the baby wants it...to deprive yourself to maintain weight during a pregnancy you might be depriving the baby as well. Be smart, eat healthy food and you won't have any problems after the birth.

The average weight gain for a pregnant woman is 30 to 35 lbs of their own weigh limit. This is also up to your doctor. They determine the weight you were before, your height and your bone structure. Me, i'm 5'2" and the most i was supposed to gain was 35 lbs. (ROFL tell that to my fourth...he was 9 lbs when he was born and i gained a CRAPload of weight with him)
